The successful teaching candidate will have a simple and profound love of children. This person must also be a joyful, accomplished, and caring individual who advocates tirelessly for a child’s academic, social, and emotional development. Any advanced degrees are considered a plus, but proven success in the age-appropriate classroom is a must. The school’s culture is very much driven by the desire to find the most appropriate teaching strategies for our students. The abilities to change, share with colleagues, learn and grow, and promote the general welfare of the entire community are greatly valued.

While a native speaker would be a plus, obvious mastery of Spanish is a must.

Commensurate with experience.
Benefits
Benefits
For employees working 25 hours or more, the benefits package at St. Elizabeth’s is strong. The school pays three-quarters of the individual’s health (for some plans 100%) and dental insurance. The school also pays 5% of salary for pension; if the employee matches that amount, the school adds an additional 4%. Life insurance is also provided at no cost to the employee.
Description
St. Elizabeth’s School is an intentionally inclusive K-8 school in northeast Denver. We opened our doors to seven eager Kindergarteners in 2007, and we have added a grade level each year, finally reaching our goal of being a full K-8 school in June, 2016. The school presently has an enrollment of 155, which insures our ability to know and serve each child well. We have recently been accredited by ACIS, and we are a member school of the National Association of Episcopal Schools. We are in almost all ways a very typical and successful independent school: small class sizes; dedicated and talented teachers who have ownership of their classrooms and curricula; daily PE; multiple weekly classes in music, art, Spanish and chapel/faith studies; a thoughtful, caring, safe environment for students and adults alike. What makes us so unusual in the private school world is that we are committed to our “Three thirds” model. One third of our students are low-income; another third are middle-income families on a sliding scale; one-third are from upper-income families who pay full or close-to-full tuition. This means that we are a truly balanced and diverse community of families and learners, and students from all walks of life benefit from this integrated environment. As an Episcopal school, we are also truly inclusive with regard to the religious beliefs of all members of our community, and our children all get an opportunity to study all of the major faith traditions.
